Founded in 2011 by Daniel Morawek and Andrew Van Scoter, and joined by Thomas Oberlies in 2017, we are an independent production company based in Mannheim, Germany. Film production companies, writers & directors work with Van Scoter Film because we know how to support creative people – delivering documentaries and feature films, and partnering worldwide on co-productions and line production.
The Rhein-Neckar Region is one of Germany’s most versatile and exciting locations for film production — offering urban landscapes, historic architecture, riverside scenery, and a thriving creative scene, all within easy reach.
We’re creative thinkers first, producers second. Concept, story, casting, design, sound, score – we cover every discipline it takes to make a great film, and we love connecting the dots between them. The best ideas don’t care which department they come from. Neither do we.
