My Story
Growing up in a small village in the Palatinate region, he went on to attend the Paul von Denis secondary school in Schifferstadt in 1991, before beginning his studies in Mathematics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 1992. In 2003, he completed his doctorate in Mathematics at the University of Heidelberg.
He first drew attention through his short film projects, which screened at numerous national and international festivals. A passionate advocate for independent cinema, he is one of the organizers of the “Goldener Hirsch” short film festival, held alternately in Mannheim and Heidelberg. In 2016, he made his feature film debut as director with the theatrical release “MANNHEIM DER FILM.”
Since 2016, he has been working as a producer and director at Van Scoter Film Production.
